主要从事储能材料与器件的研究、分析检测与应用开发,包含无机纳米材料及能量型混合电容器、水系锌离子电池等。在储能材料的形成机制及其电化学储能器件方面取得了一系列创新性成果。主持科技部国家科技重大专项子课题、国家自然科学基金青年基金项目、湖北省技术创新重大专项、湖北省自然科学基金等项目。以第一作者/通讯作者在Adv Energy Mater (2), J Mater. Chem. A (2), Chem Eng J (2), ACS Appl. Mater. Interfaces, J Power Sources (3), Nano Research等国际权威期刊发表SCI论文20余篇,被引用2000余次,其中ESI高被引论文4篇。申请国家发明专利16,其中授权专利6项。
